Light sensor and street light control using Arduino is designed to measure the intensity of light or amount of light. Street light is controlled automatically with the help of the intensity of light and Arduino. Arduino UNO R3 is used in this project. Light-dependent resistor is used for the detection of light.

Usually the servo has a yellow wire that is used to control the rotation and it must be connected on pin 9 on the board.

The main objective of this project is to implement an auto-intensity control of LED-based-street light system interfaced to the Arduino board. As the traffic decreases slowly during late-night hours, the intensity gets reduced progressively till morning to save energy and thus, the street lights switch on at the dusk and then switch off at the dawn, automatically.
